An attractive element of the CS&E Program is the opportunity for industry
or national laboratory summer internship, undertaken for a summer
following the first full year of enrollment. The internship may lead to,
but need not determine, the student's dissertation topic. It is desirable,
but not required, that a summer internship sponsor sit on the student's
dissertation committee.
